Armenian churches are so hauntingly beautiful. Here is a site from California State University, Fresno with wonderful photos of Armenian churches, etc. that I saved months ago: http://armenianstudies.csufresno.edu/arts_of_armenia/captions.htm
Geghard is one of my favourite spots in Armenia. Much of the church is actually carved into the mountain and there are springs inside. The main part was built in the 12th century.
