I want a Hammer...no a Hummer!

Just back from shopping. As you know, I live in Maçka, and next to that area is Nisantasi. And from there you go to Fulya. Maybe if you walk it, it will take 15 minutes. But by car 45 minutes, for 1 mile! The problem: too many cars and too many people who think that they can drive. And too many people who think the bigger their lousy German car is the more rights they have..)
Now, I can tell you that I am patient..)) And always tell my Turkish friends that in the Netherlands only pimps and taxi drivers have a Mercedes and the 'nouveau riche' drive BMW.
But people like me, Scandinavian cars! But now I need a Hummer, I want to make my way through Istanbul traffic. I prefer a black one, armored!

Hans, my dear matured patient friend,
why don't you just walk? :)

I thought we drove badly in the US, but I did not come to really appreciate bad driving until I rode around in a private car in Istanbul. You're right Hans, if you have to drive there, you need a Hummer.

He wanted to buy one for me here but HR3 smaller version all in black with tented glass, he thinks I would look cool in it with my small head:)) went to Car showroom and didn't like the inside at all windows are very very small and a really army car:)

Interesting observations Hans! I have my driving license from Turkey and I got used to Turkish traffic behavior/ style/ manners, call it as you wish. Whenever I am in my quiet and so well-organized home country, Finland, and I should use the car, I feel I am the potential risk factor, as people here surely follow the traffic rules. I can not be sure about myself and I am afraid to use a car here : ) Bizarre world !
