As Turkish politics have been haunted by corruption charges for decades, these kind of news are normalized for us somehow. I guess we won't cover it in-depth before a court decision is held.

When you put such news to the website, for instance, you see that not so many Turkish readers wish to check them.

The news about France in Turkey is so biased, that I tought, he, this can be a serious headliner for you..))

Really? Why do you think so?

I guess that we have a very well-balanced France coverage as Hurriyet.

For instance...

Contrarily to your statement, during Chirac time on various occations, we were also having emails, faxes, letters everyday from people who protest us, let's say, because we didn't condemn France strong enough in our stories on Armenian issue bill. So

If you think about those days that French products are being boycott in Turkey, Hurriyet's coverage on France was pretty neutral.

And it's is also that way nowadays, as you can see that we didn't even use this scandal news. And we publish positive and negative stories about Sarkozy without any reservation.

I won't comment on other newspapers.

Hurriyet lost most of its readers because they say it is trash.
I know the guy who was personal responsable for the news from Paris. He is 23 years old, and didnt speak ONE word French.
Hurriyet sales declined with 30% last year...
No, no, Emre...Hurriyet wants to survive with flash and sensational news....Sabah, Aksam and Zaman are taking over..and TDN with Referans and Dunya..))

Hans, once again, you think you know something, but either you don't know or you mix it with something else.

Hurriyet's Paris correspondent is Muammer Elveren, who has been living there for decades, speaking perfect French and so wellknown there he has been congratulated by Chirac in person before he leaves the office a couple of months ago.

Hurriyet's sales are not declined %30 last year. How come the advertisement revenues almost doubled and the sales drop that much?

May you please quote the reference?

Hans, I'm an editor of Hurriyet Foreign News Desk. I know who our Paris correspondent is. He is (not she) Elveren. If you want to believe that he is not, we're living in a free country:)
